Saturday June 14th 2025 – the Garden will host a double event dedicated to visual and written art.

At 16:30 the inauguration of Laura Gioso’s exhibition,

followed

at 17:15 the presentation of the novel
“La Stanza Verde: d@ dove digiti?”
,

with the author Marco Scarazzatti (@scarazzattimarco) and the participation of Annalisa Marini and Maurizio Ulliana.

A special opportunity to experience the garden as a place of dialogue between nature, thought and creativity!

We are looking forward to have you!

Laura Gioso – The subjects proposed by the artist are the elements of nature, the close relationship with water, the sky and the earth. The characteristics of the territory he portrays are those of the Po Valley, highlighting the similarities with the water-soaked environment in which the area of ??the thermal zones develops, right where Valsanzibio is located.

Laura Gioso lives between the waters of the Po, the Adige and the dense network of ditches and canals, this makes her fall in love with that environment, the Polesine, with which she enters into a deep contact of empathy drawing energy, dynamism, creativity and the desire to go beyond the imagination. From the water, in its continuous flow, she knows how to capture the multiple shades of colors, the extraordinary reflections and the effects of dreamlike visions that she transposes into original works of art.
Living near the water, therefore, favors the creative, imaginative, imaginative journey, which translated into painting moves emotions.
Laura Gioso is an abstract-figurative artist, sometimes with gestural elements linked to expressionism, her abstraction is not something incomprehensible, but a different way of looking at and analyzing reality. The painter’s stylistic research places particular attention on the study of color, on veiled and nuanced gestures, her artistic expression is an evident search for an elegant style that characterizes her in the expression of beauty.

Marco Scarazzatti, journalist and travel blogger, will present his literary work entitled “La stanza verde -da dove digiti?”. It is a social logical novel that tells an experience, a sort of journey to discover how to live love in the age of social media. The book was born from an “experiment”, which compares real love, that is, the one experienced live with personal contact, with virtual love, that is, created through the keyboard of a computer, cell phone, tablet and so on

The exhibition and presentation are free and require the regular entrance ticket to the Garden.

As always, also in this weekend, you can visit the Garden independently or you can participate in guided tours, in the morning at 11:00 and in the afternoon at 16:30 (only in Italian language).

It will be an opportunity to learn about the high symbolism of this Garden, designed by the noble Venetian family Barbarigo to defeat the plague of 1630/31, and take a regenerating walk in 360 years of history among statues, fountains, water games, caves, fish ponds and ultra-secular plants. During the visit you can see the Rabbit Island, the seventeenth-century boxwood labyrinth, the Monumental Statue of Time,…

…the Fountain of the Insidious or Water Games, whose sculpture, recently restored, was discovered to be in Carrara marble and perhaps the work of the Master Gian Lorenzo Bernini,…

Plan your visit and experience the wonder of a garden that combines human ingenuity with the harmony of nature, creating a true Paradise on Earth… baroque art, centuries-old trees, breathtaking views…

…treat yourself to a walk

in the most beautiful open-air

museum in Italy, immersed

in history, art and nature!

Valsanzibio of Galzignano Terme. ‘Monumental Garden’…

…the most important allegorical/symbolic Garden in the world, which has remained practically unchanged after 360 years of history, except for the plants that have grown; open every day with continuous hours…

…from 10:00 to 19:00 (last recommended entry 18:00).

Like every day, on the weekend of June 7th and 8th the visit to the Baroque Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio will be even more unforgettable thanks to the opportunity to spend the whole day in the open air with family and friends, in the beautiful three-hectare botanical area that extends in the south/west part, with spectacular centuries-old trees from all over the world.

The Garden of Valsanzibio, owned by the Pizzoni Ardemani family since 1929, is considered one of the most important “open-air museums” at an international level, today embellished by the conservative restoration works of the sculptural parts, carried out last year, foreseen by the PNRR call of the European Community. The project presented by the Garden of Valsanzibio obtained the highest score among all the participants, obtaining first place among those entitled, confirming the excellence of the place as a cultural heritage of humanity.

You can relax in the shade of Himalayan, Atlas and Californian Cedars, and even holm oaks over 600 years old. Just as the Venetian nobles spent their days in their country estates, you can relive the same magical atmosphere of relaxation, peace, scents and colors among centuries-old trees from all over the world, in the botanical area of the Garden, comfortably lying on the grass or sitting at tables.

A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in art and nature and to enjoy the spring days in the open air, in the name of serenity, culture, relaxation, far from the chaos and frenzy of modern daily life…come and visit the Valsanzibio Garden and experience true tranquility!

You can walk through the centuries-old boxwood labyrinth, the oldest plant labyrinth in the world. You can stroll along the path of Rebirth designed, over 360 years ago, by the Barbarigo family, who gave birth to San Gregorio Barbarigo, the one who inspired the high symbolism of the Garden. You can admire a botanical heritage unique in the world with the highest concentration of evergreen Boxwood plants in the world and the plants from the New World, the Americas, the oldest in Europe. And you can admire the technique of ‘perspective’ introduced for the first time in the world by Bernini in garden architecture.

Plants are food and medicine for the soul.

In particular, we ask for special cooperation from parents in supervising their youngsters by making them understand that this is not a playground, but an environment that cannot support their normal and, in other circumstances, fine youthful exuberance…PLEASE IS It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to throw pebbles or stones into the fishponds/water areas of the garden, pay close attention to your children/teenagers in compliance with the rules…thanks for your kind and indispensable collaboration.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU

to the many visitors who again this year

have chosen to visit the Valsanzibio Monumental Garden

and in doing so taking part in its preservation.

THANK YOU

for the beautiful phrases you have left in the book of dedications.

Knowing that this place is exciting after almost 360 years is a great satisfaction for all the staff, and repays the hard work required to protect a historic and unique asset like this.

2024 will be an important year for the Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio, which won the European Competition dedicated to Historic Gardens and achieved the highest score in all of Italy.

The desire is to bring this baroque destination of almost 360 years old to offer ever higher and international tourist standards.

The greatest efforts so far have been concentrated in the care of the plants, which between drought and parasites attacking the boxwood (a real botanical heritage of the Garden) the work is so much and tiring. If the European aid will actually arrive (the conditional is a must) it will be possible to tackle extraordinary works that will benefit this magical and unique place in the world.

“My grandfather Armando deserves the credit for having repaired the disasters caused by the military occupation and the forced abandonment of the last war (1943-1946). My Father Fabio has the merit of having restored all 33 water points in the Garden compromised by eighty years of progressive impoverishment of the natural springs, with a system that allows 70% of water to be recycled.
To me, in addition to the commitment to continue to pass on this superlative reality to posterity, also the goal of making this pearl of our culture known worldwide. And in a few years great satisfactions have been achieved, with tourists coming from all over the world”
Armando Pizzoni Ardemani, manager of the ‘Tenuta Valsanzibio’.

INFINE VI segnaliamo…

‘VALSANZIBIO’

Preview of the book
