Please, pay close attention to our regulation (click HERE to consult the GARDEN REGULATION) because this seventeenth century garden is considered of its kind one of the most important artistic monuments in the world, but, like all ancient works of art, IT’S VERY DELICATE. In particular, we ask for a special collaboration from parents in controlling their children and making them understand that this is not a playground, but an environment that cannot support their normal and, in other circumstances, beautiful youthful exuberance…PLEASE IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to throw stones or rocks in the fish ponds/water areas of the garden, pay close ATTENTION to your children/teenagers in compliance with the rules…thanks for your kind and indispensable collaboration.

NOTE: the symbolic path, inspired by San Gregorio Barbarigo and designed by Luigi Bernini, perfectly preserved for over 350 years and such as to make this place unique in the world, will be perfectly legible even if, due to possible night frosts, the fountains and water games will not be running after the second half of December and until the end of February. A large part of the Garden is made up of ultra-secular evergreen trees, as is the labyrinth in secular boxwood. All this gives a remarkable charm to this stupendous historical-artistic-botanical site even in the winter months.

We also inform visitors and fans of contemporary art that in the exhibition space adjacent to the Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio there will be a prestigious art exhibition. Here are some info.

‘FACELESS’

BANKSY & ROSA MUNDI

Opening to the public of the widespread exhibition hosted

in two prestigious venues of Venetian history

The Donà dalle Rose Foundation is the leader of an important anthological exhibition that sees the protagonists, together, two well-known artists with unknown faces and identities, Banksy and Rosa Mundi, both working in art for over thirty years and both “faceless” (without face).

An original exhibition of contemporary art housed in two prestigious locations, of great importance in the history of Venetian art. In Venice Palazzo Donà delle Rose and at the same time as many works will be on display in the Ca ‘Martinengo exhibition space, part of the vast monumental complex of Valsanzibio, also called Barbarigo – Donà dalle Rose.

Two spaces that have seen the history of important Venetian families – the Barbarigos and the Donà delle Rose – where you can appreciate the contemporary artistic expression of the two innovative artists who are always able to amaze, from their debut to the present day.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU

to the many visitors who again this year

have chosen to visit the Valsanzibio Monumental Garden

and in doing so taking part in its preservation.

THANK YOU

for the beautiful phrases you have left in the book of dedications.

Knowing that this place is exciting after 350 years is a great satisfaction for all the staff, and repays the hard work required to protect a historic and unique asset like this.

It was an important year for the Monumental Garden of Valsanzibio, which this year saw its project presented for the European Call dedicated to Historic Gardens win the highest score in all of Italy.

The desire is to bring this baroque destination of over 350 years to offer ever higher and international tourist standards.

The greatest efforts so far have been concentrated in the care of the plants, which between drought and parasites attacking the boxwood (a real botanical heritage of the Garden) the work is so much and tiring. If European aid is confirmed (the conditional is a must) it will be possible to tackle extraordinary works that will benefit this magical and unique place in the world.

The staff wishes

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

TO EVERYONE

“My grandfather Armando deserves the credit for having repaired the disasters caused by the military occupation and the forced abandonment of the last war (1943-1946). My Father Fabio has the merit of having restored all 33 water points in the Garden compromised by eighty years of progressive impoverishment of the natural springs, with a system that allows 70% of water to be recycled.
To me, in addition to the commitment to continue to pass on this superlative reality to posterity, also the goal of making this pearl of our culture known worldwide. And in a few years great satisfactions have been achieved, with tourists coming from all over the world”
Armando Pizzoni Ardemani, manager of the ‘Tenuta Valsanzibio’.

INFINE VI segnaliamo…

‘VALSANZIBIO’

Preview of the book
